This fountain is the second “Little Water Girl” cast for the temperance movement. Placed at the Victoria Embankment Gardens at the Thames River Temple Garden Section, it was erected in 1896. Its inscription reads:

From children of the Loyal Temperance Legion in memory of work done in the Total Abstinence cause by Lady Henry Somerset, President of the British Women’s Temperance Union, Inc. June 1896. I was thirsty and ye gave me drink
